This is a quick 5 step tutorial on how to play Gameboy Advance games on any Android device.
Step 1: Download and install an emulator. There are a few applications currently on the Android Market that will do the job, just search for gameboy emulator. To make it easier for you we will supply you with QR codes for the top two used emulators on the market, Gameboid Lite (free) and Gameboid (£3).
Depending on how much you will play, the full version might be worth it, as it allows you to save the game at any time. The lite version will only allow you to use the in game save function.
Step 2: Download the Gameboy Advance BIOS here and copy the file onto your phone in a folder called GBA (or something similar for reference). This will allow you to actually run the games using the emulator.
Step 3: Download your favourite Gameboy advanced ROMS (games) from websites such as Coolrom.com or Doperoms.com and save them in the same folder you made in step 2.
Step 4: Launch the Emulator of your choice, and then specify the location of your BIOS file when promted.
Step 5: Enjoy hours of endless retro gaming fun!

Shaswatpatel.com had a great post on the top 5 GBA games you should play on your Android device.
Castlevania – Aria of Sorrow is one of the best action adventure games from the Castlevania series for GBA, and it was one of the last games to be made for the platform. You get an amazing gameplay, rememberable characters, enhanced visuals, and so much more. It is definitely a must have for any Android phone.
Final Fantasy VI is touted as the best game in the whole series, and all fans agree that it’s definitely the best 2D game. The FF VI for Gameboy Advance is a remake of the 3rd game for the Super Nintendo, and features improved graphics, controls and a better gameplay. The storyline is great, and it remains pretty much the same as the original one, which is very good.
Metroid Zero Mission is a remake of the original Nintendo ES game with the same name, and it’s got the same excellent story, while having better graphics, sounds and more in-game details. This game is a must for all platform lover and people who love a good Sci-Fi game.
Fire Emblem the Sacred Stones is one of the best RPG turn-by-turn strategies for Gameboy Advance. It has a very interesting storyline, great characters you’ll remember and a lot of gameplay time. It has a free roaming mode, and you can choose where you want to go on a big map, which is an improvement over the original Fire Emblem game (which you should also check out!).
Super Mario Advance 3 is one of the best games in the Mario series, and the graphics are much better than in any previous games. On an Android HVGA or even higher resolution screen, it looks pretty great. If you liked any of the Mario games, you’ll sure like this one, and you can now have it in your pocket!
