So much time so few updates…

June 12, 2008 –

So hey… *ducks away from flying rotten tomato*
Uhm yes its been a while… the story being the same old, we haven’t had time at the same time and as he isn’t funny and I’m bit gifted in the art of drawing we are at a loss… also the artist has been busy with school and is now moving out of the country… so I’m regret to say you will probably not see anything new in the way of comics in the near future.. *ducks away from flying lamp*

I’m going to start school again, Photographer they will call me.. or “hey where is that damn photographer!” or even “Photographer is it really necessary for me to be naked on top of this polar bear carcase while I’m eating this peach… I hate peach..” well anyway you can see my attempts at the art of snapshots at http://www.flickr.com/jimdidriksen a comment or fifteen would be cool. (PS: look out for sexy panda)

Oh and by the way, sorry about being lazy on the moderation of comments here, its just that it gets all spammy..

A long wait.

December 19, 2007 –

Goog (Google) stock drops to satanic levels… 01:02am 27.november 2007 CET)

November 27, 2007 –

Google stock dropps.

So I just found this funny, people of faith might not but I am faithless. I do worship Google as a company tho… from a garage to this stock price in 8 years (1999 - 2007), that’s faster then Microsoft I believe. (Translated text: in green “Stockmarket” in gray “Latency of at least 15 minuets if not other is defined.” “Disclaimer“)

What just happend?

November 9, 2007 –

So I just felt like putting all the older comics comments into the Database for Wordpress, as they where in the Comikaze.

This will later feel more tidy for me…
as I can remove all the text I ever putt into comikaze…
I have no idea if or when I will do this…

Sorry to all the hundreds of thousens of people that subscribe to the RSS feed… Won’t be a false alarm again…

I sure as hell hope.

 10 stress full minutes.

On the menu “Lamb of GOD” and “Meshuggah” for dessert…

November 4, 2007 –

If you read this blog before I have shown you some of my musical taste, well some of the off shoots. well here you got something i have heard more then most music ever.

Lamb Of GOD - The Subtle arts of murder and persuasion (Live)

The first time I heard this piece of music I coulden’t turn it off for a few days… showing you the Live version as that is what got me hooked.

Meshuggah - Future breed Machine (Mayham Mix)

The full version of this “Future breed machine mix” is about 8 minutes and 12 seconds long, when I still had an iPod it was the most listened to track on the thing. I had a 80 GB black iPod video I lost while in downtown Bodø on a Saturday… no questions.

A disclaimer, Just in case: If these videos are on YouTube illegaly talk to them, not me. I don’t controll the YouTube community or Google Inc .

What the hell is wrong with you?” well this is how its better, Yuwie will pay you as you use it. You will get some of the ad revenue as your profile gets views…

Well just click the Yuwie links, you can’t lose…

There we go babes and girls, Only one day late :D

A new comic, this one can also be seen as a Norwegian, b&w version in the student newspaper “Husbjørnen” published @ Blindern. This is a short rant as I’am running out the door.. now … *gone*

Rejuvinating facebooking, without an installation…

October 22, 2007 –

So you are done adding all the people you don’t remember to your facebook account… what now, well in this little category I think I’ll find stuff to keep facebook interesting as my self I’m losing interest unless I meet new people…

So I thought this was fun and of course wanted to share my newly invented “application” for facebook, no EULA signing or Installation necessary.
What you do is you open your Facebook Friends List and try to remember the last time you communicated with the people, go down the list person for person. And here is the good part remove the people you don’t remember talking to… its GENIUS.

If you are feeling particularly evil or bored you can delete people you talk to allot and watch the chaos, broken lives and families… Or maby they will just ask “what the hell happened” or “what the hell are you doing” and move on…

“Jim is playing the “reality show” application, today 25 of his “friends” where voted of his Facebook, Friend List…”

Aggression surfacing.(change from petition to rant.)

I feel webmasters and aspiring Internet start ups are being cut off at the knees by companies that buy up viable .COMs .NETs .ORGs and so on, only to hold them ransom. The price of a .COM from for example joker.com is easily overcome by most start ups. But when a “kid in a basement” has a good idea, the programming skills, and he has hosting for free or cheep, he only needs his domain. He thinks up for example http://www.freenlegal.com/ (I use this only as an example, it is one of my unfinished projects.) but when he gets to the domain he sees a price tag that is hundreds of times that of the generic domain registration services like Joker.com , or even worse he sees banners and pop-ups that have nothing to do with the domains name.

This is a loss for us all. He could have given us a fun and inspiring site with actual content that could bring the evolution of the Internet forward. (A couple of examples of that happening Google.com and Facebook.com) with the right, easy to remember domain his idea could have been big. Now he is forced to use a mangled domain name or a sub domain (ex. of sub domains http://freenlegal.wordpress.com or http://freenlegal.sier.no) if not a domain that is way off topic that could suit another project much better.
A good start up only needs a good idea and a good domain. These parking businesses are about as much help for the future community furthering as Jack Thompson and his “blame computer games first” movement, Ted Stevens and his series of tubes knowledge of the Internet in his less then trivial position ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Series_of_tubes ) these sorts of people stop creativity, they stop YOU from doing your best, they stop YOU from exploring your potential to the fullest.

I’m afraid we can’t change the open market on how .COMs are distributed and I’m not sure that would be a good idea. With this petition I want to show these companies what they are doing and that they are a menace and a burden on the Internet, the creative process, and as earlier stated a burden on the future evolution of the Internet.

October 20, 2007 –

While I work on the computer(doing all sorts of things, also my actual job.) I have found myself listening to some really cool free stuff, and to support them I’ll tell you about them.

Well first if you like the electronic music check out Binärpilot, all his stuff it seems he is letting you all download for free… what is wrong with him you ask… I just don’t know but he is good at what he does, fun fact; we are from the same town I believe.

Favoritt tracks of mine are;
“(From down here)She looks like an angel”
“Boppers Delight”
“Dressed to Chill”
“Widibf”
“Bend”

There are more good once but these can get you started… :) For all you people who know me as the guy that only listens to Metal, well I’m like the Taco bell dog, I like allot of things I just don’t talk much about anything but Taco bell/Metal(musical genre).

Second (Did I mention these are in no particular order.) we have the podcast Extra.Life.Radio I think it started when Scott Johnson realised he likes to listen to his own voice. (that’s the rumor anyway) Then he hooked up with some other dudes, some came, some left… And now a couple are still “around” kinda. One is in Colombia(Obsidian of Commissioned) and the other is in North-Carolina(USA)(Brian of Mission Deep) just for reference I can also tell you Scott(Scott also of Extralife) is stationed in Utah(USA)… so you can tell these guys are really close. They make a great team and all have some good comics, search for commissioned or extralife on youtube and you should find some wild stuff as well. The podcast is mainly around movies and games but the social interaction between these guys is fun enough.

A Fun little game; They congratulated me on my birthday (because I told Scott it was coming up) on the show… listen to all the archive and find it :D .

Exploring campus… (The first translated RF/Blindern/UIO comic)

October 20, 2007 –

* The realists faculty The comic.

So this was hard… not 6 days hard I give you… but it was not easy, none the less. I translated this one using a Trial version of Adobe Photoshop CS3 its good but for just this I can’t say its worth the arm and leg that they are charging… So when this trail runs out be ready for more comics made with GIMP2, I just can’t bring myself to using so much cash on software. Its a primal thing i guess. Back in cave man days you never saw people pay for software,(this is where I’m going to loose readers.) it is so none viable, so abstract…

Well what I’m getting to is, I know the Adobe packages from work and I like them so Adobe people try to buy me off… please. :D

Are the problems over?

October 13, 2007 –

Well now the problems seem to be over… A really good friend Eirik seems to have fixed the FireFox compatibility issues, he also host this slow online start up :D .

So now the boxes on this site are at fixed positions,
The YouTube posts now work… (he added some code into Wordpress)
I also was about to place the Comikaze and the Wordpress Databases into the same database, I at that time found I actually had done that from the start by accident, much less work to mess up in advance, you with me people. :D

We have made a few comics for a student newspaper at **UIO “Husbjørnen” which translates to the house bear if my none existing English degree is worth anything. These will be translated soon and posted here, I have given them the assurance that I will not post them before the paper has been out for a week or so, but also here you will find them in color and English. I might post the Norwegian versions as well i just have to check how much work that will be with Comikaze as we are trying to keep this site English…

**(UIO = Universitetet i Oslo / The University of Oslo)

So now I will take a look at the Archive page in FireFox and then I will start the translation of the first comic we had in that student paper, this may take to so that the jokes are still preserved to some degree, so watch out.

And again Thank you all VERY much for staying around, I have been working on to many things lately and when I hit errors I can’t fix I kinda just jumped project for a while, but I’m on track, now we just need to make more content soon as well.

PostScript: New E-mail Admin (at) little-players.com Thanks to Google apps. :)

Update: Archive pages fixed
